i dont think it is wise to take it b4 periods but u can after 3 days you missed ur periods...

I was supposed to get my period on Saturday, January 13. I went out and bought the early pt and tested every morning from Tuesday through Sunday...I got negative results. Still haven't gotten my period and it's now Monday morning...could just be my period is late but I'm hoping I'm pregnant. Point being, everyone is different, but I am a firm believer that the early tests aren't very reliable. Your hormone levels have to be at a certain level before the test will detect it and that could take weeks after your missed period. Try and wait until after you miss your period, you'll save yourself anxiety and cash!

i have never gotten a positive before my missed period but i have a day after my missed period. i never took the early response pregnancy test though. i don't like that test because of the fine print on the bottom of the tv screen it says there is only a 62% chance of a positive test 5 days before and it goes up to 80 something percent at 2 days before. so i don't find that test too reliable.

I took mine 6days late! and the second time I was like 8 days late.
