Because you were scrolling up and down with your mouse wheel and pressed the Ctrl button by accident.

It hasn't. The font on your system has been made smaller by a user (most likely you). Depending on your OS and browser, find the settings that change the font size, and set it to something you are happy with.

Mine still looks the same, but you can go to >View >Text Size in Internet Explorer and change the size of the font.

Just go to the bottom right corner (if you've got IE7) and alter the %age OR press the Ctrl button whilst turning the mouse wheel.
