Some girls now adays start their period as young as 9 years old!!! wow. is that truth? Does anybody know why this is happening?

In my Field of biotechnology, i think it is all of the Hormones that we are putting in Milk and other foods....

Young girls 20 years ago were not as "developed" as the ones today.....

This is a serious problem because we don't know if there are "Psychological" changes as well as Physical changes

When does menstruation begin?
These days, girls begin to menstruate when they are about 10 to 14 years-old. The average age is approximately 12. Women will continue to menstruate until the age of 45 to 55, when menopause begins. A woman will have approximately 500 periods in her lifetime.

i'm 30yrs old and i got my first period when i was 8 it just turns out that i matured fast and developed enough hormones to get my period.

my friend had her first period when she was 5 I thought it was weird when i first heard it but it's true.
