I have bought a replacement passenger's side wing mirror for my 2002 Fiat Punto. Can anyone tell me how I would go about fitting it? Are there any online guides? Is it easy for someone who knows nothing about cars, like myself?

On the inside of the door, in front of the window, and inside of where the mirror is mounted, there will be a plastic trim panel (probably contains the mirror adjustment lever).
Carefully pull off the mirror adjustment lever, and then carefully prise off the trim panel.
The bolts that attach the mirror to the door will be exposed. Unbolt the old mirror, and refit the new one.

Most cars have three bolts, but most cars also have a triangular plastic trim on the outside as part of the mirror assembly, which the 2002 Punto does not, and most cars have completely different housings for left and right mirrors, whereas the Punto uses the same housing for both sides, so there may be two bolts, or perhaps four smaller screws (I've replaced quite a few mirrors, but never on a Punto).

Having fitted on to my civic in the past i can only advise and not really tell you exactly how to fit it...

Juts sit in the car and have a loook at it, i can see from a picture on google that there is the door panel and a make up shroud that houses the manual mirror adjustment.....

To remove the mirror you may be able to simply pop the make up panel off but dont force it!..... if it will not come off or does not have an obvious screw/bolt/fixing to remove then it is likely that you will need to remove the door panel.

To remove the door panel there will be a combination of screws (usually hidden within the handle/storage compartment in the door) and pop-off fixings. When you are satisfied that you have removed all of the screws you will need to apply a small amount of force to the edges of the panel in order to pop the fixings out.

Once all of this is done you will be able to lift off the door panel and get easy access to whatever holds the mirror on. putting it back to gether will be easier as you have just taken it apart!
