I'm sixteen, but I haven't started growing armpit hair yet. I know that once I start shaving my underarms, I'm liable to get chicken skin and dark underarms. How do I begin shaving once I'm there to avoid such things?

Funny enough.
I have friends that get it lazer removed..waxed...one even selfed plucked..
Me, I use moisterizers ( in shower body lotions) in shower when shaving.
using oil & moisterizer in shower keeps keeps body very soft..funny I learn it from my model ex boyfriend..lol
They have shaving gels and cremes with out the pain hair removal.. These should work for you just fine.
have a reliable shaver:comes moisterizers too.Shave in direction the hair grows and change razor frequently. to avoid razor bumps and in growns.
Your young and really shouldnt worry about how you under arms look ..heck models in mags get it air brushed..

Waxing works well. But maker sure you exfoliate regularly there after (ate least for a week) to prevent ingrown hairs. using a lemon to wash up acts as ableaching agent, and keeps the skin white.

U may try waxing yr underarms. It might prevent the discoloration of the skin.

this is a common problem my dear but dont worry because of advanced industry so you should shave your underarms just by gel hair removeables or spray hair removeables and use razors honey!!!!

scrub with half lemon to avoid darkening, i do that always before taking bath, and my underarms are so white and soft/
