Why do men keep coming up with the same excuse for being unfaithful sluts?

You know the one .... blah blah, men aren't programmed to be monogomous blah!

And then go on to spew the same old ... "we have to spread our seed it's only natural"

Whereas, in fact, if they studied most animal behaviour (lets take lions as an example, or apes) - the male of the species is lucky to get a chance to mate in their entire lifetime, because the females will choose the physically superior one in the group to mate with - leaving the weaker ones to masterbate or poke each other for years and years until they get lucky enough to become the dominant male.

Why do they continue to use that stupid re-populating the planet theory every time they need an excuse?

Why don't we women have a counter excuse when we need to tell our husband / partner that we've shagged the bloke next door because he is physically superior? And that we are programmed to do so and that we'll be continuing to shag every other superior man that we can possibly get our hands on?
..Just a thought ;)

I know there are good men out there. Didn't intend to tar them all with the same brush. Just sick of so many of them coming up with the same old rubbish.

...this is a general question - my partner hasn't been unfaithful, he never goes out without me :P

I wish I could just give you a big hug and a high five for saying that. I know exactly what you mean and there's no excuse for someone to be unfaithful. No excuse at all.

As Robin WIlliams so eloquently put it, "God gave us a head and a penis and only enough blood to run one at a time." or something like that. Most men who are honest with themselves look at all women as potential lovers. Walking down the street they envision what it would be like to be with just about every attractive female they see. It is fleeting of course but it happens. Why? Who really knows. Then again, at least it is an answer that has some basis in nature. Women on the other had just go out and **** someone else. It is a violation whichever party is betraying the other and will hurt that persons partner if they find out. The next question - to tell or not to tell?

And quite a good thought at that...must be that we are socialized to "need" the "protection" of a man. But when we really look at our lives and our situations, it becomes perfectly clear that we are selling out for some pretty lame excuses. I, for one, am willing to give your excuse a go. I think that adding a line about "improving the gene pool" would be in order as well!

I feel what you are saying from the lion standpoint, but as a man and as a friend to many other men who have cheated, I have never heard the repopulation spreading the seed excuse before, that is a new one. My excuse is that we are men, and men are only as faithful as our options.

seems to me that the lady's cheating would desire to be worse, simply by fact in the two state of affairs if the different better half found out, the lady nonetheless gets lots of the guy's stuff in a divorce.

There is some validity to that poor excuse men make, best for them to spread their seed as widely as possible. Of course you are also right, it is best for you to pick the best bloak around and drop the weak ones sorry *** the moment a better one comes along.
Unfortunatly, even if you work your way up to zues, he is going to be spreading it around. Get yourself a geek who can't do any better, threaten him with the consequences of doing worse, and accept your fate.
