Why is that America doesn't suffer from nightmare that leads to death like the Asia?

There was once a study conducted to this effect and one of theories is that one of the causes is on the food, specifically, fish sauce. It is one of the common denominator shared (in terms of food) among the several cases. America does not use much of it while in Asian cuisine, it is I think one of the main ingredients.

Why do you include whole Asia, Philippine is a small country.
