I am a proud owner of an ipod video and I have heard about the ipods 1-2 year battery life. It will eventually burn out. Did you charge it a lot???? Is it a nano or a mini???? Hold down the menu and the middle button down for about 10 seconds. This makes the ipod reset.

Lol, just go to the nearest Apple/Ipod store. They will get you a new one, that's what they did with me and I don't remember getting a Warranty because I bought it from a friend. My Ipod Video was at least 2 years old.

i thought (though i could be wrong) that ipdos had a battery like a phone. try replacing that. if it still doesnt work then it might be damaged internaly (wires etc)
