I disagree with the quote.... knowledge is power and power is no virtue whatsoever.

Pursuit of knowledge is selfish. Acquisition of knowledge leads to superiority syndrome.

as opposed to knowledge is power.

This is I believe a common expression of a librarian who hold much knowledge learnt and when it comes to sharing or helping people regarding information that they consider the important of asking this question that "will this information assist them for better or worst"?

knowledge is learnt n earned.. therefore i feel tat it is of wat u noe, n respectable if u hav wat it takes in ur mind as well..
