I am having trouble with my Black & Decker heater fan. It will start and then shut off. I have followed all the instructions in the manual but need more diagnosis of the problem.

Bad news...black and Decker is made by GE the worst appliance maker there is...It sounds like your over temp safety switch is bad .Jump it out to see if the heater will stay running. If it does then get a new safety switch

It sounds like the thermostat has gone haywire. Most thermostats these days are electronic, but on the off chance that yours isn't, I'll ask if the heater is sitting on a level spot? If it's level and still shutting off, then I suggest having it checked, or just replace it - whichever is less expensive - unless it's still under warranty. If it is - take it back and get another!
