Looking for inspiration and previous experiences... thought about Cape Town, skiiing, Mauritius etc Obviously non-malarial is a requirement, otherwise usual considerations apply when going away with a baby. Open to any ideas, beach, activity etc just want to have fun.

We took our little lad to the Algarve in Portugal when he was 18 months. The weather was warm and he really enjoyed it.

There was loads to do, beach, swim, trips to the water parks to see dolphins etc. and the marina side restaurants in Villamoura were really reasonable and catered for kids.

At 11 months old coffee or any caffiene could permantely damage the baby's growing tummy and cause other damage if given over a prolonged period. No infant or child should have caffiene of any sort untill they are old enough to handle it,your friend should only be giving the child warm milk to sleep better water or juice the baby could have cereal at night and it would help the child sleep as well.

Just don't take the baby on an aeroplane, the poor little buggers get ear ache, and then start howling and ruin it for all the other passengers, it doesn't matter where you take an 11 month old kid anyway, because they don't know what the hell is going on any who.
