I have had the same thing Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, which caused scarring to my tubes. Which has caused 2 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy (due the scarring on the tubes).

The PID will only have caused problems if you have it through the tubes, not necessarily if its around the womb or ovaries. If it out of the tubes you have my them cut away (sorry don't remember the profession term). To see if you have them in the tubes the hospital can insert a blue/green liquid through your tubes to identify if there is scarring inside the tubes.

I suggest you go to the doctors and get them to refer you to the hospital pre-pregnancy clinic.

We (both my partner and I) have had taken about 15 different blood test, which take 3 months to get the results, and then you get an appt to have a scan, so they can have a full understanding of the issues your body is facing.

When you get referred, you can't be trying to have a baby, so that you have have all the test, and they will monitor you body for some months, before taking things further and having a baby full term.

You haven't miscarried so I don't think the PID has caused much problems, and you should just keep on trying to conceive looking at your body temp, and ovulation dates and go for it around that time.

Good luck!x

OK so u have p.i.d. well don't let That get you down, don't Think negative and don't get obsessed about falling pregnant as it will take longer to happen, work out your cycle from The day you come on to The date your next period is due and work out when you are fertile....example (28 day cycle so you can fall around The 14th day after first day period starts,so have intercourse as much as possible on The 13th 14th and 15th day) this worked for me after a couple of months as all i could think about was falling pregnant so took a while, when i finally fell it was because we had just got back from holiday and my mind had been on other things so it actually happened...think positive....and i wish u good luck.

Eat well, Super Foods! Blueberries, blackberries, freh pineapple, fresh veg, pulses, sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds and all that.

Crystal healing and all that? I would try anything if I was in your position. I never used to believe in all that crystal stuff, I thought it was just psychological. Then one day I picked up a friends few crystals... I put them almost straight down again because I got this weird tingling down my spine. It happened again when I picked them up! So maybe there is something in it! Moonstone is said to enhance fertility and during pregnancy. Rose quartz is good for emotional stability and is a good all-rounder! Plenty of others too.

That aside, If it was me, in a few months time, (not yet) I would also be nagging GP for a referral to the hospital! However I don't think they will refer you until you have been trying for at least a year. 5 months is not long, so relax and don't worry about it yet.

Good luck. xx

I don't know how P.I.D. affects fertility, but maybe if you try defying gravity, this is a great help for the sperm to reach its destination. Some people do this by placing a cushion under the pelvis.

Look for the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" it will help you learn how to chart your cycles to determine when you are fertile.

Has your PID been treated? I would advise that you talk to your doctor or family planning/well woman clinic for advice.
