If it has a piezo-electric buzzer it could make a ticking noise. What you would need to do is remove the buzzer, measure the resistence, then replace it with a resistor that matches the measured resistance.

you won't be able to change off the clock as that's an intregral portion of the gadget. you may conceal it from the administration panel or you may do away with the battery in CPU so as that it will no longer function. yet why are you attempting to try this?
