Oh I bet you do feel sad, but you should also be very proud of your daughter too, you have brought her up to see there is more to her world and you have given her your blessing to go find it, I hope you get to see each other on a regular basis, just pat yourself on the back for been a great mom and having a lovely daughter.

no but I know the feeling, my sister left for New Zealand 6 months ago and I cried buckets. I know its sad, but you have to let people go and just be happy that they've found their feet and are doing something they enjoy. I use Skype to keep in touch with my sister, its free and you can chat any time you want. All you need to get is some headphones. And I'm saving up to visit her, maybe you could start doing the same.

I do feel for you though, hope you feel better in time xx

Don't worry i am certain she'll try to keep in touch, think of you often, remember you guidance, of fond memories you share...

I am happy there was a snow storm last night and though i have to shovel some off the drive way , i am enjoying the beauty of it all!

HAVE A NICE DAY AND CHEER UP!

These days with email and mobile phones and texting etc, people are never very far away. Cheaper and cheaper air travel makes it easier for us to visit out loved ones.
The world these days is just one huge neighbourhood and so it would seem that your daughter has simply moved to another street.

My mum cancelled Christmas the year I left home. I only meant to be away a year and have only been back for 2 holidays in the 5 years since.

My daughter is only one but i'm already dreading the day she moves away. Just take comfort in the fact she's becoming a bigger person and you helped her do that. Cheer up and eat your weight in ice cream. Always helps me.

You have a real reason to be sad. My day is going fine. All the best to you and your daughter.
