The thing is, I know logically that i'm not actually old in the scheme of things, it's just that I feel like the last 5 years or so have gone past so quickly that I'm freaked out. Now that i'm in my twenties, I feel like before I know it I will be in my thirties, then my fourties will be upon me etc etc. I kind of feel like I have lost my youth and it's all down hill from now. Can someone please help me to feel young, I don't want to feel like my youth has gone before I have made the most of it and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thanks

Sorry, but i had to LMAO at this question! I will be 33 this year, and am loving every minute of my life. I have a "real job" [career, actually], work out, eat pretty clean [but don't beat myself over the head when i do have that tiramisu or cheese cake], have alot of friends, etc, and still watch cartoons on a regular basis... I still get carded for stuff like alcohol and spray paint, because, apparently, i still look pretty young.

I really think if you feel old, or think that you have to change or be a certain way because you are 25, 30, or even 50, that will make you old. I went to my 10 year reunion back in 2002, and all these people i knew as fun and happy had grown stiff, stuffy, stale, and "old", and they were "old looking" [some even looked like they were in their 40's].... i think it's because they changed. they quit living life and having a great time and all they could talk about was old times or their current jobs. i stayed "young" and had taken trips to canada, costa rica, california, vegas, the keys, south beach, etc. i had so much to talk about, and it was sad hearing them talk about work, work, work.. i really felt bad for some of them.

A great time to me now is much different than the "i wanna go clubbing and party every night" days when i was 18 to about 25, but i'm extremely happy. i don't feel old, and don't plan to anytime soon!!!

it's weird, because when i was 18, i thought 25 was old. when i turned 30, i still felt like i was 22 or 23... It does go fast; especially when i run into someone i went to school with - it seems like yesterday when we talk... but i wouldn't change it. you can totally enjoy yourself when you are "ancient like me" - and in most cases, you will be able to do so with your own money and time - and will appreciate it a hell of a lot more.

i used to think this saying was hokey, but truly, "age isn't a number, it is a state of mind"

You are still young but won't be forever. You are at the perfect age. Think about all the things that you can do, mentally, physically, financially. These things you could not do as a child and may not be able to do as an older adult. Explore the world and enjoy as many new experiences as you can before you must "settle down." Do exercise good judgement, though. Have Fun!!

Your not old at all, I would understand where you were coming from if you were 33, so don't stress your self about it. You need to get out there and have a good time with your mates, enjoy your youth, you have 8 more years till you're 30, so don't settle down just yet, get out there and party, and I'm telling you, you will feel alot better, don't stay at home and do pratically nothing because than you're bound to feel the way you do, good luck ;-)

You are like me in that you worry about your age and always think you're old. I am in my early 30's and I feel old! I'll trade and be 22 again? You are very young and have a long time before you even get your first wrinkle. You are young! Enjoy your 20's!! Enjoy your 30's!! Enjoy your 40's!! Enjoy your 50's!!! Enjoy your life and stop worrying about your age....It's just a number.

No 22 is not old. We all get feelings like that from day to day, and there really is no cure for it.
The best advise that I can give you is to be as pleasant as possible, live every day to fullest of your means, and remember life is too short to leave it with a pile of enemies. You are acually in the prime of your life, so go out , have fun, buy a house, vacation, you could easily live for another 80 years

It only gets worse. Soak up each day as best as you can. Before you know it you will be 35. Hopefully you will have children to love and watch grow up.
