America does not "go" to war with EVERY country....America does what it has to do to protect this country...Would you like it if some countries were capable to send over nuclear weapons to our allied countries OR to the United States? If that happened, I bet you would then ask: Why didn't put our nose in and stop it before it happened..! There are countries out there who hate and will stop at nothing. And if going to war with those countries can stop them from harming our allies and us, then so be it....No one actually wants that to happen but unfortunately the world is not all lollipops and roses and their goals and beliefs are far different than ours.

America had a "two wars benchmark" since after the cold war to maintain an image of superiority and super power toward weaker countries.

Two wars benchmark means constantly being involved in two wars at the same time.
An organization (PNAC) founded in 1997 by Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz and many others determined in 2000 that if America want to keep it's super power status it would need to make radical change in its defense and way to make war. Either by winning more two-wars or by winning multiple bigger wars. And thats what they do. They are what i call extremist.

You can see the study here

check for "Rebuilding America's Defenses" in publications/reports
Page 51 give hints of what they'd like to speed the founding for defense and war.

Check the Statement of Principles page for all the founder/ members of this organization.

Most decision taken by Bush administration since after 9/11 is in there. Already planned long before Bush got to power.

America will act militarily in our own perceived best interests when diplomacy fails such as was the case with Iraq. Whether we are right or wrong in those actions is a matter of perception based on worldview. If you want to make a case regarding particular action in particular countries this could be considered as proper, but claiming that we start wars with every country simply denies basic truth and relegates you to the position of lunatic fringe.

Iraq is the first war that we have started since the war with Spain in the 1890's. In that war the reasons were also made-up to justify our leaders desire to show the world we were now a world power. Every war we have had since then until now we were sucked into. This war was, is, and will always be a mistake.

We havent had a war since WW1 and WW2. Bush decided he would attack a country and lie to the American people about why he did it. When his lies were found out he changed his reasons and made up more lies and then we had an election and some people still thought this guy would eventually tell the truth. To this day he has not told the truth. He is a born liar. He should be put on trial for high crimes and misdimeners. I think that would be the only way to humbe this lunatic.

First of all i would like to ask geronrock if he comes from IRAN or KUWEIT and if the USA is trying to protect IRAN. It is so stupid joke i can't even lough. USA goes to war with any country that has oil and doesn't give it to them or with any country that is a threat for countries which support USA 100%

We haven't gone to war with other countries for no good reason, matter of fact we aren't in a war with another country right now.. The Iraq war isn't a war against them, we're actually helping the Iraqi's build a military of their own, to fight the insurgents (terrorists) that plaque their country. Afghanistan, again not against the country they let us in the country to fight against the terrorist, Vietnam, i don't think that one was started by us just finished by us.(could be wrong on that) world wars 1 and 2, both weren't started by the U.S.A. we were brought in to them as allies. So give me some examples of wars that we went out and started!!

America doesn't start war with EVERY country. America has the most powerful military machine in the world and great powers always like to flex their muscles and impose their view on the rest of the world.

When the US ceases to be an unchallenged great power, the US will also cease jumping into military escapades with such alacrity.

They didn't exactly go out looking for Afghanistan - without their part in bringing about 9/11, the Taliban would still be happily subjugating their womenfolk and blowing up irreplaceable historical artefacts.

I think that if you take Al Qaeda out of the equation, maybe you meant "every country with oil which they won't let American interests control - except Russia, and anyone else who can stand up to them". And then I think the question answers itself.

America doesn't start wars with every country. in fact, they'd rather spend years talking about a problem. Intervention was needed in Iraq and Afghanistan and the US happens to have one of the best equipped armies ao they are a natural choice to send to help. hey have the complete backing ofthe UN security council to be both places, even, surprisingly, Iran.
