Just read some of these Q&A their hate and or ignorance is unbeliveable!

definately.
so many people here disillusioned by the invasion of Iraq lose sight of the big picture. Few want to face reality and side for hating an oil hungry president (true or not) as the base premise.
Even if he is a moron, meathead, illiterate, powerhungry, connected fat cat that was groomed for the position and being told what to say by his industry associates...he still is overall a fairly genuine guy and you do have to give him props for not backing down.
There is a deeper reality there that is not going to be popular for people to be aware of. Cowards side with masochism in the face of what they would choose to remain ignorant of. Baaahing in a crowd of sheep is not the way to earn an enemy's respect who has already made plans and moves against you, they will just laugh when its time to send you to the slaughter so easily.
To Isreal, the US can say we are actually one step ahead of you on this one.
edit:
The real question to me is. Why does Iran pretend to give a flying sh about anything to do with Isreal? Siding with Pakis is a rediculous sham, especially when you look at how they treat thier own. Its hard to believe religeon is such a strong base motivator, but so is conventional power. Whatever the case is, they are violent so, I think the place is long overdue for renovation. This knee will never bow to the east.

The US don't care about human rights abuses (nor do the UK unless there is oil or business attached that is), if that was the case they would be invading Turkey (which laughably will soon be officially in the EU) and countless other countries. It is not the people that are blind, it is the governments - blind to countries with prolific human rights abuses but they don't invade because there is no money to be made.

If you are saying that the US wants to invade Iran due to the human rights issues, then unfortunately I think its a case of the pot calling the kettle black!

I don't think so. I don't hate the US, but I abhor some of its policies, both foreign and domestic. I look forward to the day when Bush is no longer president. I'd love to see Bush's activities really, REALLY closely investigated, once he is no longer president.

Equally, I cannot approve in any way, shape or form of the regime in Iran. Nor can I approve of the Iranian aim to destroy Israel, (although Israel is another country whose policies have lost a LOT of shine over the years).

It seems that that is the case. People need to recognize intolerance and human rights violations wherever they occur. If the US commits human rights abuses, it should be held accountable. If Iran commits human rights abuses, it should also be held accountable. No country should be above international law.

The Iranian government is currently continuing its program of culturally strangling the Iranian Baha'i community. In Iran, the Baha'i Faith is not recognized as a valid religion, despite the fact that it is the largest minority religion in Iran. Baha'is have severe restrictions gaining jobs or getting higher education. The Iranian government is also monitoring the activities and movements of all Baha'is in the country and keeping them in a state of fear by abritrary arrests.

So, what you're asking is:

Am I unaware of Iran's human rights abuses and the insane ramblings of their Prime Minister?

No, I'm not unaware of these things.

I am also aware of the USA's human rights abuses and the insane ramblings of its President.

I am also aware of the drug crimes the UK govt committed in the 18th century against China ... the abuses of Australia's whites against its indigenous people ... the abuses committed by the Irish against their own in the name of religion ... how the French and Spanish funded (and later fought in) the American War of Independence to stop UK owning North America ... the abuses of the Israelis against Palestinians ... the insanity of suicide bombers ... the fact that every govt the USA has trouble with was originally trained and funded by the CIA ... need I go on?

Trying to suggest that any individual country is somehow innocent is merely ignorant.

No. But the US attitude does not change Iran's abuses, merely hardens them.
And Israel (of which I am basically a supporter) has much to answer for, too.

nit pickers are on the rampage, the nit picker will start argument in empty house then deny they had anything to do with it. they complain about human rights in alien lands demand we do something, when the troops move in they then complain about that, if the troops move out and leave a mess they complain about that too.america is a great nation if america decided to mind her own business and leave the world stage, she would be attackedfrom terrorist, and everybody else. where is america why dosent she do something, america minded her own business in the second world war, took her two years to get involved, she was attacked for it. pearl harbour then the germans sunk one of her ships in the atlantic. america cant stop. the world wont let here.

No. Depends what people hate US for. Depends who it is and their beliefs.

Guatanamo Bay has been disputed by human rights activists.

I certainly don't hate the US and am in the UK, but can say that I feel George Bush is highly disliked in this country. That doesn't mean Americans are highly disliked in this country, quite the opposite.

are you aware no one gave a shi.t until Iran said they where selling oil in euros and not in dollars.
point two culture not trying to justify the human rights issues but it's their culture.
like Iraq needed a certain amount of violence to keep things in check with so many tribes. again not trying to justify just lets say not every country do things the way the west dose.
