Remember after 9/11? The Patriots kept winning. The country was patriotic. The attacks brought us together, and for some reason, they brought the Patriots together, too.

almost 2 years after Katrina, the Saints, of all teams, are the NFC championship game. How many people think this is a sign? The city of New Orleans, brought together in jubliation, because of a super bowl trip, OR victory? If the NFL is fixed, like many people believe, my gut instinct is that the powers that be will get the Saints into the big dance.

watch! I think the Patriots look like the best team right now, but the Saints could win it all. WHY? Because of the extreme underdog scenario i just pointed out.

No, extreme underdogs win only occasionally compared to higher ranked teams.

I think this is a sign that the NFL is fixed. Think about it a team that needs a running back, and doesn’t draft one that in all likelihood will be in the Hall of Fame. So they can draft a Defensive End, this team wasn’t one player away from competing or a super bowl, they are like about 20 players short. The NFL wanted the Saints to be good so that the world can feel good. Go figure, it was fixed when the Jets beat the Colts and it’s still fixed today.

I think the community of the team has alot to do with it if the fans are intense the players feel it and it gives them a boost as for the NFL being fixed that is paranoia the TV networks like the feel good stories that come with the game when there is an underdog but it all comes down to dollars if the NFL were fixed the redskins and giants and jets would be helped along seeing as they are 1 or two in terms of the size of thier tv market

If the Saints win everyone will KNOW the fix is in. Watch they won't make it just for the simple reason of keeping people from thinking it is fixed.

I believe that the NFL is FIXED! I agree that the U.S. paid off the Patriots to win 3 times to keep their minds off of what was going on in the early Iraq years, keep Americans out of the business that the White House was doing, and the construction of the 9/11 site. New Orleans is a curropt city and the politicians in N.O. New Orleans is trying to keep their evacuee natives from focusing on the going back home or the process involving them getting home, their trying to calm the people in N.O. now from focusing on what Nagin is doing, and trying to keep the people in N.O. from focusing on the current crime rate.
Either way it goes, this country finds a way to give their people what they desperately need and for the country to cover their
a s s!

have you forgotten about the uncharacteristic 'showing up' of the Indianapolis Colts defense?! They've saved 18's butt almost singlehandedly in both games! They were picked to get crapped upon in the Wild Card game AND this past Saturday(Ravens for cryin out loud)... I like your mythology, but don't forget to crack open a newspaper every now & then
