I want to send my husband letters in the mail in the days leading up to his birthday, with the final message being where to meet me and when. Anyone ever do anything similar to this? And if so, what did the cards or letters say? And what ideas do you have to decorate the room that we will be in?

OH MY GOD DID I EVER AND HOW AWESOME WE DO IT NOW AND NOT JUST FOR B-DAYS.
First i thought of a fun "common place" mailed aletter saying "tavern on the green 6;00 pm look for a black hat.

letter 2- was a little risque- "meet at 8;00 p.m. our place pick a bag from the table . (had filled 3 brown schoollunch nags with "stuff" and sent the kids to grandmoms for the night)

letter 3-something just for him :8;00 pick your brother up go to billly bobs for the steelers game ask for joe at the bar. the tab is covered (had pre- paid 40.00 for food/drinks)

letters 4-Movie city 5;00-9;15-we're seeing (insert movie name and his ticket)

letter 5-shave shower and dress up- meet me by 7;00 at dance hall and we'll waltz the night away (or something he really likes to do to be romantic)

letter 6-go home and relax- kids and are are out for the night fridge filled with your favorites, call your boys. see you in the am (let him know where i was i case of emergency.

letter 7- (we'd planned a surpise party) meet at the excelsior mansion for romantic dinner for 2 you and me. little did he know it was a surprise for his 40th with all his friends fmaily, neighbors. My mom took the kids following the party and we went home to more bags on table to play with, and a wekend of just us. we saw movies, went roller skating, slept in (or didnt) danced in every room in the house (of course decorated to the hilt with balloons) guys like to be romanced as well. we always think it's just the gals that deserve the lfowers and dancing before the hoo haing- guys like it as well. we had a couple massage together. this was extragavant ( i was ill and knew in a few months i would be sick from the chemo so i wanted what could have possibly been our last "his birthday" together thank god it wasn't) but you get the over all idea. just do it about him.

WOW! What a great idea! Tell him each day a little something that you love about him. Funny things he says or do. The room should have a hottub in it. Rose petals, champange and of course some kind of soft music and a football game on TV! LOL.

On one of my husbands birthdays I gave him a card and inside were coupons I made myself on the computer. They could only be redeemed by myself, and were only redeemable 1 time per coupon. Ex: Coupon good for one 30 minute full body massage, etc, etc. Your imagination can fill you in on what the others we're for. But he could & did use them all.
