I know circumsision is no longer painful because they now use cutting edge technology to perform the procedure. But does it matter to women? are there any side effects of it, like ED's? can you die if something went terribly wrong?

Totally Hot! it's on the must have list of 2007.

for hygienic reasons people like it more, it's suppose to cut down on a guys sensitivity though. I would say ask your doctor about side affects as they can differ between each man.

It is still very painful for the majority of people. Many infants are still circumcised without anesthesia, and many of the safe anesthesias available for infants aren't effective enough in blocking the pain.

It really shouldn't matter to women, regardless of what you read on these forums. About 80% of the world's male population is uncircumcised, and doubtless the majority of the women that go with that population either don't care or prefer the penis uncircumcised.

There are potential side effects and complications of circumcision. Most arise from infant circumcisions. For infants, if something goes terribly wrong, death is indeed possible. For adults this is much rarer, though if done in unsanitary conditions (such as sub-Sahara Africa) the possibility of infection and subsequent death from infection increases dramatically.

I've never had any problems being uncircumcised. No smell, no smegma, no infections/irritations, etc. The foreskin is really easy to keep clean, and like 95% of all uncircumcised men never have any problems with their foreskins. Of the 5% that do, only in a small fraction is it severe enough to warrant circumcision. See links for more info.

Dying means something went terribly wrong

Does it matter to women? Does it matter to you?

Just take a shower or a bath a day and you'll be fine

If your not circumcised you can just "Skin it back" for the same effect.

You have both options

Circumcised guys don't

Wait a second! The doctors who perform circumcisions on infants do NOT use "cutting edge technology", and they don't use anesthetics either! Circumcised baby boys scream and cry when they urinate for the first few times, and it can cause complications. Children die each year from circumcision complications. It is an outdated procedure that is no longer "routinely" done. The benefits of not circumcising far outweigh any perceived benefit of circumcising. Teaching your sons to wash themselves thoroughly takes care of the only "advantage" that being circumcised has. The increased sensitivity of not being circumcised is a much better advantage.

YES YOU CAN DIE FROM ANY SURGERY and it has happened during circumcisions but it is pretty rare.

I got circumcized reluctantly at age 28 so I can truly compare having a foreskin & not & over ten years later I am so happy I was circumcized. I am just as sensitive but in a good way. My orgasms are more intense.

when I had a foreskin my head of the penis was always ultra sensitive from having a foreskin over it constantly & thus I was very sensitive to oral sex & hand jobs now there is no foreskin I enjoy both so much better.

now i no smegma {cheesy bits under the foreskin}

No smells {I used to smell only 1/2 an hour of washing underneath the foreskin}

I was reluctant as was my ex girlfriend coz both families had their foreskins but my ex thought I felt bigger - we both reasoned coz there was less skin I felt tighter & thus bigger. She rarely wanted to give me oral or hand jobs but after being circed I got lots of oral - she later admitted she couldn't handle my smell down there. She also told me she would circumicze her sons if she had any.

I can now pee straight coz there is no foreskin in the way

I remember getting my foreskin caught in my jeans zipper - ouch - geez I miss that - NOT!!!!

It's like I miss my pubes caught inbetween the foreskin.- NOT!!!

Oh yeah the pain afterwards ain't THAT bad!!! 5-6 weeks you'll be having sex.

It shouldn't matter to you that it matters to women or not - if you want it done just do it - life is too short.

Oh yeah you are NOT mutilating your penis, you will enjoy sex as ever you did with a foreskin if you don't it's only coz of whats inbetween your ears. It's not coz you are circed or otherwise.

It's definately healthier and cleaner. MAPLE may have a whole man, but there is a lot more bacteria in there!

I am so glad my husband is intact! The action is much more sensual with foreskin, and we don't even need lube because his glans isn't all dried out and rough.

For an man's account of his experience with adult circumcision, look at http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiXYZy70jmjMcOhBIImM3P_sy6IX?qid=20070101193846AA385UM&show=7#profile-info-fb8a1b49d382006d635917de9dc08b3baa - is this REALLY what you want?

I prefer circumsisions.

However, I was reading in my friend's medical magazine (Can't remember the name, sorry. :( ) that a circumsized penis somehow lowers the risk of the male catching AIDS. It has something to do with the bacteria that grows under the foreskin.
