after i install the cd rom, i turn the computer back on and i can't get back to my desktop, online or anything. it stays on the windows xp window!

Try and install it online again or call the company that produces the software. They should inform you what is wrong

there is a black little jumper on the cdrom that is on the wrong pegs move it to master ,,the pegs on the left of the small panel of 6 little pegs
