i get distracted now and then. What should I do to overcome it? Any ideas please. Thanks.

Legally i have no clue. But good way for me to focus is to smoke a little pot.

Sometimes a little distraction or inability to focus is our mind telling us something like that we're tired, there's something bothering us, we're not eating properly ect. Figure out what your mind is telling you. Something like coffee may help your concentration temporarily, but could cause you to feel anxious, restless or make you unable to sleep later on. I find that taking a 10 to 15 minute break and going back to what I was doing helps. Sometimes I need something else though. It depends on what's distracting me.

Meditation has helped me to enhance my focus. To focus on to the tip, the smallest atom on the tip, of a candle flame for about 10 mins, every day. And to allow all thoughts to be burnt away in the candle flame and to empty the mind of thoughts. It was impossible for me to burn all thoughts away immediately, but I burnt a few everyday and my mind became more and more empty. My mind than created space for a sharp focus, while I was also aware of the surroundings.

Congratulations, you actually completed and posted your question to the system without distraction.! You must have had a"GOAL"and your "CONCENTRATION" levels were high. Just goes to prove in a way, that if you THINK you can you will, and if you think you can't your RIGHT. Know what you want, and try self discipline and persistence for continual achievement,it does actually work, and as I said you have already proved it

breathe n count ur breath in n out by numbering it..focus on it till u forget the whole around you , its called to zero the mind actually its the main goal of religious prayers..ths gves a break n makes it better gettin thngs even if done for at least 10 mins

This may sound juvenile. I play a word association type of game in my head with what I am doing sometimes.Soon I find myself so engrossed with what I am doing it is done and I feel I have lost no time and I do not feel tired or stressed.
