there are three things that the indians need to tackle in order to become a super power
1. its energy demands... it has no safe and reliable energy supplies inside the country
2. it has to set right its relations to neighbouring countries not just pakistan and china but also nepal, srilanka i.e. the entire southasia
3. it has to deal with the internal insurgencies in its more than 100 states, and deal with the corruption issue...
in the end it is only education and supermacy of law that is the key to development

If it can reduce terrorism and bribe problems completely then I can answer to your question that "Sure! Undoubtedly India will be a Super Power in 2020."

India is already a superpower and has achieved everything and there is nothing left. The population has the most enviable quality of life and the infrastructure is a model for others to emulate. All we have to do is, just prepare nice curry, have party, watch TV and participate in KPC.
Our nation is in the safe hands of great leaders and just forget it.

well, i do agree that we need many more reforms and social programmes, but with democracy on our side, we are well on our way to the dream of 2020
