Is there anyone in it I might recognise, and is it even remotely worth seeing?

It is similar to the plot of rocky one and yes you should like it.

I've seen it and what can I say, it's wicked, pretty much all the characters are in the new film, apart from Rocky's wife, Adrian. The great thing about the film is that it completely ties in with the way the other Rocky films where made. It's like they made it a month after Rocky 5, but it is updated a little with some fantastic cinematography towards the end- brilliant.
Oh the plot is basically a simulated fight is aired on TV, between Rocky and the current (I think)Heavyweight champion, who is young and able, the results say Rocky wins, of course this causes problems in the Boxing world for the other boxer and in the end Rocky is asked to fight to prove that he couldn't win!

Im not sure but from what i understood from the trailer, i think its about Rocky being this almost washed out boxer now, cuz he´s too old to compete anymore, but then for some reason he wants to get back in the ring, and its basically about that and his struggle to make it there. Oh and yes if you watch the TV-Show "Heroes" you might recognize the guy from it, Milo Ventimiglia (the one who gets his powers from being around other people with super powers) playing Rocky´s son. I think he´s really suiting to the part, and im not sure what to expect of course, cuz i havent seen it yet, but i have a feeling that it´ll probably be pretty good.
Just my opinion though. Hope this helps. =)

Plot: Unleashing the beast one last time before retirement. His physique questions if he still has it. And he does!
one of the best rockys ive seen! and i have the whole collection. Go in there with an open mind, and heart. You will not be dissapointed.
