well the most recent answers in favor of the Si are the fools if they did not mention the insurance on this vehicle is much higher then the Tc. i sell scions and there resale is better ,but not by much, why not the Subaru wrx sti, if speed and power is what you are after . the insurance rate on the scion a far cheaper. these are the realities, the trd super charger can not be part of the financing. there are also turbos out there if you plan on installing it your self . now if picking up women is what you want the scion gets the nod, over the Si, however if pud smacking is OK with you like these other wise men that answered whom i will bet get little to no tail , is your desire by all means get the si. otherwise go for the Tc manual do the trd exhaust , leather &heated seats , tint the windows do the i-pod and add a super charger, you will be happier than you could of imagined.

Both cars are pretty reliable. But i personally would get a civic SI because although Im not a civic kind of person, the SI is more of a sports car then the TC. Although you could get the TRD supercharger from the dealer for the TC, its probably somewhere around $5000 for that kit which will probably get you up to 200 or a little past. But with a civic you could always buy a comptech supercharger which would be much cheaper then a TRD would be; from the dealer anyway. Comptech is aftermarket by the way. Not only that but the TRD supercharger will get you around 200 when the SI is around 200 stock and comes with a 6-speed manual (TC comes with 5 speed). If you bought the civic si and supercharged that you'd have way more HP then if you bought the TC with the TRD supercharger. The civic and TC have similar features so....but yea, id buy the civic, good gas mileage and its more sporty then the TC. its more sporty in more then just HP, its also got a better suspension, better seats, better brakes, wheels etc. Get the civic.

i think u should get the scion because if u want the TRD supercharger, it would up the HP by a lot. u really should test drive both but i recommend the tC. toyota engines are very quiet and i think it would be the same for Scions. the tC has lots of features too. it would be nice too. it comes with a standard panorama roof too. its pretty cool. if u were to test drive i would go to honda first. for the feel of the civic Si then "Get the Feeling" for the Scion. i think the scion is cooler with its features too.

I would go with the Tc just because its lighter wich makes it faster. Also it is made by toyota I have seen an 07si and 07 tc race in a 1/4 mile tc ran15.2 the si ran a 15.9 the tc is a way better car!

The SI is going to be a more solid car than the tC. As far as resale, reliability, and future problems, they are going to be pretty much the same. They are both excellent automobiles and with the upgrades you are considering they will be about the same price range. I'm a scion owner because I think honda has upped their price too much recently, but if I were you I would just drive them both and pick which one appeals most to you based on style, personal comfort, etc.

Scion TC. The tc motors I believe are more punishable, meaning can take a beating. In my 03 Camry ( same motor as TC) 2.4L has plunty of get up. I even raced a turbo civic Si! I lost but I kept up with it.

i've owned an '06 tC for 13 months now. I luv it. I recommend you test drive both. my previous car was a Civic CX. I don't have the supercharger but it seems to me that if you want more HP and if you are willing to spend more money for that then you may be better off getting a car with it built in already as opposed to attempting to improve on it.

you should get the civic si. it is way better than the scion. the civic has 197 horsepower and the scion only 160. the TRD Supercharger is an option. it does not come standard on the Tc. I am planing on getting myself an 06 Si myself. you will not be sorry by getting the Si.
