Seriously, is there any reason behind. I mean you need two hands to hold something but for sure not two balls.

As an architect, I can tell its for symmetrical reasons. Cant think of any biological explanation. In our internal organs we also have two kidneys, two lungs, etc.

I am sure it is more to do with nature providing a spare in case one becomes diseased. Nature is very generous in that respect.

Other than the tiny stones in your ears , those are for balancing too.
See , when you get hit in one of those , you'll start to crouch and perhaps limp to one side.
