Quite a remarkable explosion I would expect... the nitrogen would flash to 'steam', i.e. its gaseous state pretty much instantly...

Would kind of depend on the amounts of both involved, but you'd end up with some rock (the formerly liquid lava) and gas (the formerly liquid nitrogen).

Sounds like the question I saw the other day that asked why don't we dump garbage in the volcano. I think liquid nitrogen + molten = one big mess. A big dust cloud made of dirt, rock and soot. Let me know when you decide to try it out, maybe I can sell tickets.
