No, the computer is not addicted to you, my dear, you are addicted to the computer. It's really not a person, you know.
Anyway, yes, of course it is possible to get addicted to playing around with a computer. Why else would I be answering this question at 2:40 a.m., when all sensible people are asleep?
The fact is, anything which serves your purposes, meets your needs, and does not have sufficient counter-force (like a job you need to go to) can be addicting. When I was at school and on a computer, and then at home and on a computer, I found myself doing darn little else.
And I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Because for people who would otherwise have the passive activity of television, the Internet is a vast improvement.

Damn, I hate 2 say this.. but yeah... computer is - in a way - addicted.
Im an artist, I paint. But sometimes I took some design (graphic and fashion) and photography job. And those job requires me to use computer. I hav 2 computers at my studio, Apple G5 and PC. I use my G5 for work, and my PC for playing games and other stuff. When Im traveling, beside my sketch book, I always bring along my MP3 player, a digital camera, and a lap top. My G5 served almost for everything; surf the internet, watching TV, watching DVD, listening to music and radio, downloading my hand phone data, etc.
So even while Im doing my painting, my computer is always on 2 accompany me. I hav 2 admitted that I cant think myself 2 live a day without computer. Sometimes though, I wished I had my old way of living back, u know, when everything starts with a cup of coffee, a pack of cigarettes and a morning paper... (not a Yahoo homepage...lol).

I find that the internet is addictive as im often up till 2-3 sometimes 4 am finding info on the net and talking in chat rooms and stuff. The most im addicted to is online gaming. Games in themselves are addictive but when you play online its a whole new experience.
So yes computers are addictive

Oh yes it is. I could think of worse addictions thought!
So much so all my kids have one a I networked them! So we have four, mines the best so they always want to use it!!!
Hubby only uses it for reference though.
