Hey selena........ white men did not take the land of the Patels. The Patels are taking the land of the white man. And there are no native americans owning hotels. The reason is simple.......people grow up to do things that their family has been successful in. MiddleEastern culture is such that many successful people own gas stations, laundromats, and hotels. Have you ever seen a nail salon with no Vietnamese? It is because of the culture.

I know what you mean. I think others comin to this country have connections in the hotel business and gas stations and it just grows. I used to deliver pizzas and my manager (from Bangledesh) knew a bunch of hotel and gas station owners and now works at a gas station. Its a good business. He was telling me how a friend of his was selling his hotel and buying a better one.
