Global warming is global heating. The weather goes through changes daily but the climate's average seem stable. The earth climate only changes a degree ever so often I not sure but like every ten thousand, possible million years. Something like that and have been found to come before ice ages. So since it has been determined by some that the global climate has changed withing the last two hundred years a degree in that context perspective is amazing. But the climate is not a consistent easy to predict thing because all the variable and no one can be sure what it means. But you can be sure that there are going to be people who use it for there own agenda. If it help us be more efficient energy wise so be it. Oil and other non renewable energy will run out some day and i don't want to live then.

Technically, a consensus means, according to Merriam Webster's dictionary, 1 a: general agreement : b: the judgment arrived at by most of those concerned 2: group solidarity in sentiment and belief Meaning 5 people could say that 2+2=5 and there would be a consensus. And say these 5 people were to fund millions of scientists to fudge data and lie to kids learning math and ostracize nonbelievers, then there would be as much proof that Global Warming is caused by humans as 2+2 being 5. You can't prove that 2+2 is not 5. Nor can the best mathematician at Harvard. Food for thought.

Global warming is the observed increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation into the future.
Global average near-surface atmospheric temperature rose 0.6 ± 0.2 °Celsius (1.1 ± 0.4 °Fahrenheit) in the 20th century. The prevailing scientific opinion on climate change is that "most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities" [1].
The main cause of the human-induced component of warming is the increased atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs) such as carbon dioxide (CO2). This leads to warming of the surface and lower atmosphere by increasing the greenhouse effect. Greenhouse gases are released by activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing, and agriculture.
The measure of the response to increased GHGs, and other anthropogenic and natural climate forcings is climate sensitivity. It is found by observational [2] and model studies. This sensitivity is usually expressed in terms of the temperature response expected from a doubling of CO2 in the atmosphere. The current literature estimates sensitivity in the range 1.5-4.5 °C (2.7-8.1 °F). Models referenced by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) predict that global temperatures may increase by between 1.4 and 5.8 °C (2.5 to 10.5 °F) between 1990 and 2100. The uncertainty in this range results from both the difficulty of predicting the volume of future greenhouse gas emissions and uncertainty about climate sensitivity.

in your study of photosynthesis, you learned that carbon dioxide from the air is taken by plants, and converted into food and oxygen. however, as more and more forests are destroyed, fewer plants are left to take in the carbon dioxide for use in photosynthesis.on the other hand, people keep on using energy and fuel and burning materials that produce more and more carbon dioxide. there is therefore a surplus of carbon dioxide in the air. what then if there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere? you have to remember that carbon dioxide is one of the major greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. these gases warm our atmosphere by converting solar infrared radiation into heat energy. what's more, the heat is also trapped by these greenhouse gases.with more and more heat being trapped, our climate will change.higher global temperature will cause the sea level to rise. it will also cause extreme weather conditions such as supertyphoons nad tornadoes.

Global warming is an interesting lie that busybodies tell each other and try to convince you of so that they can tell you how to lead your life as they would like.
