There are no statistics, only polls. Polls are unreliable in general. As to support it depends on how you view it. There are varying degrees of support. There are people who support the action without question and have been behind from the beginning. Based on polls this number in 30% range. There are people who have been against it from the beginning and again it appears to around 30%. There are people who are against the way the war has been prosecuted. This number ranges from 65 to 75% depending on the poll. Then there are people who believe that no matter whether the war is just or not we cannot just walk away. This number appears to around 70 to 80%. These numbers are speculative and I do not present them as fact, they are based on different polls I have looked at on the matter. So what you can draw from this is that roughly 65 to 70% of the people support the war on a very base level, but many of those are not happy about the way it is being fought.

Americans tend to combine religion with politics, and therefore a lot of them feel that anything the President says, has God's stamp of approval. Also, to question is to be disloyal. If the truth could be really found out, I would think less than 25% support the war. Another 25% fake it, because they have been convinced that if you do not support the war, it means you do not support the troops or the Country.

I don't know but I don't see ANY anti-war mass protest on the streets either - the illegal immigration thing had a million people taking to the streets. So it would be safe to assume that many Americans are indifferent, or in support of America's war in Iraq.

Well hell I don't taking care of terrorism is good the war in Iraq has caused so many problems big mess what a dumb plan. I bet bush and his administration thought that minimal soldiers would be needed they would waltz in there and the job would be done whatever that job really was. Terrorist are just like gangs
they are violent can do damage but we have more power just like the police to get the job done we need maybe 1000-5000 special
highly trained ops who can take out cells of terrorist and use intelligence for further military deployment.

like someone stated earlier MANY people supported this war in the beginning .. and IMO it was based on the manupliation of TV..
We went from a "Mission Accomplished" in Afghanastan in a few months then all of a sudden were in a full scale war in Iraq..

So once people started to REALIZE wtf was going on in Iraq of course the support for the war went down.. WE DONT KNOW WHAT WE ARE REALLY FIGHTING FOR.. First it was WMD's and AlQueda.. then Saddam, Then the liberation of Iraqi people...really wtf how many different versions are we going to get before EVERYONE wakes up and realizes THIS WAR DOES NOT BENEFIT YOU!!!..They could have prevented 9/11 BUT THEY DIDN'T..
Any of you official story people who REALLY think 19 Arabs w/ box cutters outsmarted the MOST SAFISTICATED defense system in the world, LOL @ you... really... think about it.. all your claims of our powerfull our military and how strong our defenses are..
all our tax money going for programs and drills and anything to benefit our national security.... AND WHEN IT WAS NEEDED THE MOST.. they FAILED!!! and failed miserably..
It's been one cover up after another and like i asked earlier HOW MANY TIMES are stories going to change before EVERYONE comes to the harsh reality that YOU WERE TRICKED into believing this war is "justified".
