Glad to meet another Home and Away fan!
The 2006 season ended with Sally being stabbed outside the school gates and lying bleeding on the pavement. However it is an open secret that Brad finds her, but whether she survives or not is not yet known; the series returned to Australian screens in the early hours of today (UK time), but there was no definitive answer as to whether Sally is alive or dead - the episode ended with Alf vowing "to get the mongrel that did this".
The speculation that Sally dies has been fuelled by a press interview Kate Ritchie did late last year in which she hinted that she was considering leaving Home and Away - although she also described it as her family.
As an educated guess from someone who has watched the show since episode 1, I would say Sally survives, but there is a distinct possibility that she leaves during the 2007 season, leaving open the possibility of a return at some point in the future.
Given that there is a new series producer and script editor starting in 2007 I can't believe that they would kill-off one of the most popular characters.
(Hope I'm right though)!

Ok... everyone who has answered this question has no idea!
I live in Australia. Sally got stabbed by Rocco on the last episode last year. Last night was the 1st night back this year and Brad found Sally and took her to hospital where they gave her surgery. You don't know if she dies yet.
But i am sure that she is leaving the show because they said she is going to Europe to do some acting, but i have heard she doesn't die from the stabbing she dies later on.
If you have any more questions about home and away you can email me- wabbulentei@yahoo.com.au

Australia is about 4-5 months ahead of us in the UK and this is just happening there, so we've got a bit of catching up to do plus another big surprise before that (clue: who's not really dead?!!).
Emily's just died here, for the Ausies reading this. (And she's not the answer to the above question.)
