Doesn't anyone realize that clothing actually lasts 4 or 5 years, and fashion is nothing more than greedy clothing companies getting people to buy new things every year. When will people stop being mindless capitalist drones and think for themselves?

that is why it is important to buy classic designs that never really go out of style..... never buy fad or trendy styles as it will change in the next fashion season.
for a female, the best evening dress would be a short black dress...which is universal and never goes out of style just like audrey hepburns dress in "breakfast at tiffany's".
so.....to say the least....i agree with you.

Okay, on the other side though, I only buy few quality basic stuff and wear them often especially to work. My clothing dont last five years in the same condition. So I upgrade with a few more every year or so. It makes me happy to get these beautiful brand new stuff every now and then. I then donate the old one to charity and hopefully make someone else happy too. I believe the world go round merrier if you continue to renew & revitalise like this. Well my world at least ...

Thats true but dont throw the old ones out cause theyll come back in about 2 or 3 years put them away,I got a pair of thick high heels for 7 years and they're back now.

Thats very true, and its eating up my purse, but wouldn't you rather be seen in clothes that are 'the in thing' rather than out wearing clothes that are really old?
Surely keeping up to date with new fashion makes you feel a lot better and sexier than wearing old clothes simply because you believe clothes should last?

That's why I keep it classic and classy. Some of the things I've seen won't look good on my particular frame, so I pick up the things that look nice on ME and alter them as needed.

i know that everybody whants to buy from one certain store at one time but thats just life in high school kids just like to show off even thogough these days everybody has thire diffret style and u can change what people think just let them be !!!
