123kg is a lot and I have trouble really believing you weigh that. If you weigh 123kg that means you weigh almost 300lbs. In which case, yes it'll be difficult becuase of your weight and your age... because women over the age of 35 are considered to have a high risk pregnancy, and along with your weight, it's not a good choice.

Anyone over 35 is considered high risk, and add in the weight factor, I would say that you would be at a greater risk. Besides the fact that pregnancy is uncomfortable on anyone, it would be much more uncomfortable on someone with a heavier weight. I just had a baby 2 months ago, and at 5'7" and 150 lbs when I got pregnant this time, I was uncomfortable, but by the end I weighed 230, and I was miserable. I would try and get in better shape before you get pregnant. But on a brighter note, the oldest woman to deliver a baby just a few months ago was 67, so you are not too old to start trying, in my book anyway. Good luck if you decide to try. Babies are miracles!

Women who are overweight do run the risk of developing more complications during pregnancy. Your age is also a big risk. I realize that time is of the essence here, but you may want to consider losing weight before you have a child. I'm quite obese myself, and I had many complications with my last pregnancy, so before I have another, I'm planning on losing about 100lbs.

Women your age have babies all the time, but there are more risks involved when you' re above 35. If you're healthy, you have a much greater chance of having a safe and healthy pregnancy, as well as a healty baby.

i'm 33, weigh 108kg and am pregnant with my second child. my pregnancy is classed as high risk because of my weight but when i had my first 3 years ago i was heavier and that was not classed as high risk! also, at 38 you stand a higher risk of having a baby with down's. i'm currently awaiting the results of an amnio as i have a 1 in 22 chance of having a down's baby. if you feel well enough then go for it. all pregnancies have an element of risk but the human race keeps expanding! i wish you the best.

At 271 pounds you would probably have a hard time with pregnancy no matter what your age. At 38 yrs old and normal weight would be better.

My mother was 42 and 130lbs. when she gave birth to my younger brother and he's fine.
You could stand to gain a little (which you will). If you smoke STOP! Put yourself on a healthy diet. NO ALCOHOL except for maybe a glass of wine once in awhile.
Most importantly, promise to love the baby no matter what. Stay happy and don't stress.

as long as your doctor says that you are healthy enough to do so then it should be fine but before you run for the bedroom you might want to consider that when your child graduates from high school (assuming you become pregnant very soon) you will be about 56 in the end it all comes down to what you truly want follow your heart it seldom lies in situations like this

Some people including doctors will say its not ok, others will say yes. I really believe you will fall pregnant when you are "meant to" so its hard to say. Also i urge you to know how you feel about it all.
are YOU ok with your health and your weight?
thats what counts chicky.
