I have nothing against these girls, I'm sure they are actually quite inteligent, however I notice all my guy friends start getting feelings for young blonde girls who lack common sense and act ditzy as anything

can't really answer the question b/c i'm not a guy but i'm guessing most guys who go for the whole "ditzy" blonde (note that i said ditzy and not just every blonde) are pretty shallow.

I prefer blondes, and I also like "ditzy" women (no matter what their hair color). This is because I'm such a serious, and usually negative kind of guy, so interacting with women who are energetic, silly, or whatever gives me some much needed relief from my own pessimism. I'm really not interested "taking advantage" of some ditzy girl, and by the way, ditzy doesn't neccessarily mean dumb or lacking in common sense. every ditzy girl I've ever met seems to be just as morale as the non-ditzs. I like blondes because I'm a brunette, every one in my family is a brunette, and 90% of every one I see in my day-to-day life is a brunette, so seeing a pretty girl with blue or green eyes and long, flowing golden hair always makes for a change of pace. I guess you could say that I want to be with a girl that is completely the opposite of me, this dark, frowning, over thinking guy who can't enjoy life.

Why can't brunette's get over this blond complex? (I'm strawberry blond by the way and Avatar didn't have that color available). Honestly! I read in a statistic that most people find brunettes more attractive. I think there are just as many ditsy people who aren't blond and how many of those ditsy blonds do you think are naturally brunette. Why can't the question simply be why are guys attracted to ditsy girls? Well, the same reason some women are attracted to stupid jocks. Besides, don't the stupid jocks and ditsy girls usually pair off together and leave the rest of us alone?

Hah, I know what you mean. I have dark blonde hair, but I lowlight it with brown so no one knows....My boyfriend is 22 and I have been with him since he was 19. He and I have been working out some issues, and I swear I asked him the same question one day just to be nit-picky since I knew that wasn't really him (Not proud of it but got a good answer). He told me he doesn't really want a ditzy blonde with huge boobs...he wants a real girl. Someone he could actually live with for the rest of his life. That shut me up. Just look for the smart guys. They will see you for YOU and not what you aren't. I'm sure you will have no problem. :) Good luck to you!

They may like looking at them, but it's not who they want to take home to mother. Unless they are ditzy too, it will be a very short relationship, or a miserable "to death do us part"!!

I don't like blondes and I especially don't like ditzy girls. I hate having to hear their useless, boring banter just to sleep with them.

Personally, I am attracted to intelligent brunettes. To answer your question, maybe men see these girls as easy targets for their phallic arrow.

Makes us feel superior, important, .....also closer to being with an angel, most angels are portrayed in paintings as blond.
