white people who brought my ancestors over to the US. A lot of blacks complain about the white man, but if it wasn't for them, we'd be in Africa wearing loin cloths, have AIDS and living in houses made of shitbrick, waiting for Oprah to build us something.

The Amish, Mennonite simplistic and modest dress and the modest dress of both sexes with clearly defined masculine and feminine clothing in Islam although it is not anywhere near my religious beliefs. I don't think admiring modesty for modesty's sake would be disrespecting my own culture though. In some ways, they put many conservative Pentecostal denominations to shame is what I've said for years now. (I'm really not that old to sound so old-fashioned!) In researching the answer I came across an interesting bit of information giving travel tips on what women should wear; in Syria a woman in pants is (or is considered as) a prostitute and in Spain they will not allow women in shorts into the religious sites or Mosques. Women in short skirts in America use to be put into jail for indecent exposure. I'm not advocating we go back to that but we do need to have some decency again throughout society. Now, loose dressing women are all over the Hollywood screens and looking like harlots as well right in the church house. Japanese Kimonos are also lovely traditional Korean dress.

I admire the 'don't give a f**k' attitude of the Aussies. I also like the way they only let people in that they need. No scroungers. Wish my great, great, great grandfather had stolen a loaf.

I don't admit to this because I have never been asked before. But from my experience

Hindus - their awareness of their bodies' needs.
Buddhists - their gentle naturalistic approach to life.
Mormons - their steadfastness for their faith
Scots - their fearlessness
Sri Lankans - their genuine desire to please.
