if you know it was in december at least then they will probably just estimate when you are likely to be around 12-13 weeks pregnant and you will get a routine scan then. i think they would only send you for a dating scan if you were totally unsure of dates of LMP or hadn't had a period for ages. If you were hoping you would get a scan sooner rather than later, just relax and enjoy your pregnancy, you'll have a little baba before you know it and wonder where all the time went! All the best and good luck at doctors on friday. x
an after thought - a 2nd scan at 20 weeks will confirm or change your due date anyway, based on the measurements of the feotus at the 12 week scan. Even though you don't know the LMP date, these scans are very accurate these days.

i've never been pregnant myself but i know from when a friend was and the doctor sent her for a scan to determine how far along she was, your doctor will probably ask you the date of your last period and then give you a possible due date for your baby, then send you for a scan to try and find out for certain. for the doctor to find your aproximate due date, he/she would ask you the first day of your last period, i.e the date, then he/she would add about 9 months on to it, even if your not sure of the dates, your doctor can give you an approximate month anyway, but you'll probably be sent by your doctor to the hospital for a scan, just to be sure.

Yes, they will take a 'guess' at roughly how far along you are, and usually scan at approx. 12 weeks. They can measure the size of various parts of the baby's body and tell to within a few days how old the foetus is. So tell the doc you're not sure of your dates but try to give him a rough estimate of the date of your last period.

They will probably send you for a dating scan, but these are not usually carried out just yet. If you opt for a nuchal scan at 12 weeks they can tell you then. Otherwise, dating scans in the UK are usually carried out at about 15 weeks.

The doctor has a chart that can tell them your due date according to the date of your last period.

The wellbeing practitioner will estimate your due date from the beginning up date of your final era and not from once you have been final 'passionate' (as my wellbeing practitioner positioned it while my spouse have been given pregnant). you will get your first test at around approximately 12 weeks. the end results of the test will with a bit of luck supply you extra precise info of ways long you have been pregnant for. Congrats and sturdy success

If you have absolutely no idea, they may want to do an ultrasound to help determine your due date.
