New York Rap is trying to come back but they have too many Trying to accommodate everybody. They want to make money so they're doing what is popular. To speak for the south though... there are a gang of lyricists that are coming out of the south, straight spitters don't sleep. Supastition; just bought both of his albums. Bananas!!! The East died along with Biggie. No East rap is any good even all the States that claimed East are now Dirty South. Talk about being pregidous looks like you need to listen to real Southern Rap and not all the Atlanta cats. You want to find East Coast lyricist then grab some old Biggie cause thats all they have. They are too busy selling you clothes and shoes to make any real music.

You gotta admit, that even though he's all about money and whatever, Lil Wayne is a good lyricist. Other than that, I agree with you. Rap is too much about all that crap these days. There's gotta be more Kanye Wests. Now he's an artist, I don't care who says otherwise.
