Put yourself in a hostage situation. If a group of people were being held captive and the Captor said that one person must die for the others to be let free.
Would the person that offered them selves be commiting suicide or would the Shooter be commiting murder or both ???

er, how can that be suicide. Suicide's when you want to die, not when you choose to sacrifice your life to save other's you love when there is very little in the way of choice. You can't say 'it wasn't murder, he said it was ok' - like that's gonna stand up in court. You're a bit weird asking questions like that.

The shooter would be committing murder. It would not be considered suicide as the shooter was the one to actually pull the trigger.

I don't think it would even be considered assisted suicide as the person who was shot had no real desire to die, they just wanted to save the lives of the other people - if given a choice they would choose to live.

well to me

the answer to this question is it is both suicide and murder

it was your chioce to end your life yet your not the one responcible for killing yourself but you did have a say of when you died ...if that makes sence

in an easyier way if you where pushed out to the from you had no choice in dieing while the person who pushed you out would be an accomplice to murder and the shooter was the murder

Yes its murder, because its not suicide... it would be a noble sacrifice.

Suicide implies the person wanted to die, but in this case the person chose to die to save others.

If the person dies, probably murder. Not suicide because that requires the hostage to kill himself.

It would be murder because one brave person has
has given themselves to the captor who pre-meditated
this act of killing another person. Phew!

Its murder b/c the hostage taker doesn't need to kill anyone he's just choosing to.
