I think that is a question that has been asked for years, and that will NEVER be proved one way or the other.

I think, for all her money, beauty, men and lifestyle, she was a very lonely, frightened desperate woman. From her affair with John Kennedy, to her failed marriages, she was a very sad lady.

Did she commit suicide? Possible. But what about the conspiracy theory? Was it planned to look like suicide, because of the Kennedy affair? Like I said, we will probably never know!

In 1962 Marilyn was chosen to star in Fox's Something's Got to Give (1962). Again, her absenteeism caused delay after delay in production, resulting in her being fired from the production in June of that year. It looked as though her career was finished. Studios just didn't want to take a chance on her because it would cost them thousands of dollars in delays. She went into seclusion in her home in L.A. On August 5, 1962, her housekeeper found her dead body, nude and lying face down on her bed, apparently the victim of an overdose of sedatives. She was only 36.

Marilyn made only 30 films in her lifetime, but her legendary status and mysticism will remain with film history forever.

Suicide is usually associated with those who have terribly deficient lives.. it is a mere phenomina that famous people somehow commit suicide or die tragically.. at an alarming rate.. Geez and i wonder who collects her royalties who benefits.. ever heard of a Monroe family member??? Nah... me either..

i don't think it's a suicide. she said that's how she wants to die, she'll make herself very pretty and wear something nice so that when people find her, she looks pretty.
but when she died (from what they say an overdose), she was naked and her hair all tousled up and apparently she was on the phone all night. she never used to sleep with the phone in her room!
even the doctor said it might be a suicide, but he can't say for sure. i think there was foul play because she knew too much! she even kept a diary wher she wrote about everything, all deals etc. and kennedy was angry when he knew that.
it's a whole issue in itself.

There was no reason for her to commit suicide. Her carrer had just took an upturn with the film "The Misfits".

No. She was too popular, making too much money. Why would she commit suicide? If anything it was an accidental overdose, but I really don't belive she killed herself. I think there's a lot more to it, but it will never be proved.

Pills don't always show up in your stomach. They can be all in your system, but might not be in the stomach. I don't believe she committed suicide. When people take pills for many years, it is very easy to accidentally overdose on them. You keep needing more..higher doses for the same effect you used to get, while your system is getting weaker all along, through all the years of taking them.

I KNOW SHE WAS SEVERELY DEPRESSED AND UNHAPPY. JUST BECAUSE SHE WAS MAKING MONEY AND WELL KNOWN, DOESN'T MEAN SHE WAS HAPPY. SHE HAD MORE ANTI-DEPRESSANTS THEN A DRUG STORE.

YES, I FEEL SHE COMMITTED SUICIDE ALTHOUGH THERE ARE LOTS OF HOLES IN THE STORY.
