I'm looking for the answer to how long it takes a person to bleed out from a chest wound around the rib area?

Sorry, but you aren't specific enough. Right chest? Left Chest? Upper or lower area. The range is so broad with your description. Are you assuming that the individual does or does not receive medical attention? If they do, is it Advanced Trauma Life Support, or just Joe Blow with his First Responder Card.

The ranges are anything from 1min to 1hour (more or less), it really depends on the level of treatment and the type of wound. If you can be more specific, so can I.

Depends on how deep the wound goes, scratches for example will clot long before you could possibly bleed out.

A deep wound the breaks the ribs could bleed out in 30 to 60 minutes depending on how much the person struggles and moves around.

As already mentioned this isn't enough info. You can bleed out fast or really slow depending on what caused the injury. Is the object still lodged inside? How deep? Where is it?

it depends. if it hit the heart and the object is removed its only like 60 seconds. if it hits no major organs there may be only little bleeding
