The easiest way is to make friends with the local game store manager or somebody in electronics at Wal-Mart. They can tell you when the next shipment is expected and sometimes save them for you. However, a more legit way is to ask your local game store (Gamestop, Game Crazy, etc,) if there is a waiting list. Nintendo has been very slow to produce Wiis for whatever reason. Also keep in mind there was a recall on the controller strap that may have affected the readily available supply. And for GODS SAKE dont call the video game store everyday. We hate it when you do that and will probably lie. They almost always have waiting lists on hard to find items.

Are you trying to buy a Wii or DS Lite? Both are hard to find right now (the Wii more than the DS Lite).

Your best bet would be to go to a bunch of online sites for stores that would carry the Wii (such as WalMart, Target, Kmart, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Gamestop, EB Games, etc.) and request that they notify you by email when a shipment comes in and they are available.

If you go to any of those websites and try to purchase one, they will tell you that they are out of stock and whether you would like to be notified by email when they are in stock.

I would do that if I were you. That's how I got my polar white DS Lite. =)

Otherwise you could just call in every morning before the stores open (so that you're the first one there to get one!) to see if any came in and they can hold one for you while you're on the way.

They're hard to find because they just came out, are the most affordable next gen system, and seem like they'd be the most fun with the motion sensor and everything. Just wait like a month and the hype'll die down.

Other than checking toystores. Your best bet is to just ask and find out of they know when they'll get a new shipment.
Otherwise, just wait for the hype to die down, they're rare now because they're new.

im getting the same thing here.. Ive checked all the local stores, found plenty of ps3's but Wii's are nowhere to be found. And sadly no matter what store i go to they never know when the next shipment is coming in. =\

well lets see... theyre prob hard 2 find because hmm ummm gee..... THEY WERE MADE IN 1980!!! sitck with the wii and u can download nintendo games onto it. o wait... i thought u meant NES... o well sry this is pretty much a useless answer...
