My old boss has just asked me to go back to work for her, I wouldnt mind it but I sort of feel im going backwards not moving forwards, it was a good job but I stoped learning new things, so everthing is second nature to me now, should I go back or find a job that will stimulate me more?

If you can afford to be picky and wait, hold off and look for a different job that stimulates you and helps you learn new things. You don't want to be bored and dread each workday. If you HAVE to go back to work at that same place, do things that will get you out of there, like taking classes, updating your resume and looking for a different job. Good luck.

Well, if you have done the work before, why not? Feeling everything is new and you are not anymore used to doing the job is just normal. But if you have the courage and will to re-learn the things that you need, then there will be no problem of taking the job. Just be honest to your boss that you need to take little steps if you are going to work for her again.

If you don't have a job now, then going back to your old job is better than having no job at all.

But while you are working at your old job, you can keep looking for something better.

Being employed makes you more attractive to other employers because they can be reasonably sure that there is nothing wrong with you as a worker. And this will make it easier for you to find another job.

I agree with everything Nick Z says and would add, if she is calling to ask you to come back can’t you negotiate for more money or benefits too?
