There are several schools across the country that offer a program that when you graduate you will be eligible to be hired as a controller. Do a web search for
"College Training Initiative" FAA
for more information. Besides going through one of the approved colleges you can also get your training through the military.
As a heads up, not to disuade you b/c it is a great job, I love it, but the FAA recently has drastically reduced pay for incoming controllers and made the work environment quite unfriendly. IMHO However it is possible that things may return to the way they were. Either way, be prepared to work shift work, midnight shifts, holidays. Good luck.

Start by going to your local Air Force Recruiter and take a test. If you get high enough scores as I did you can choose to be a Air Traffic Controller. You get free school and experience. Its a good deal. Be sure you are a good student and good with math. Good Luck

in the old days the only way to get in was to be with the air force first. are speaking for the us or what country. if the us start at the www.faa.gov site and www.firstgov.gov to learn how to apply for those jobs.
see america's job bank on the first gov site.
