Hi there, well Islamic religion, or even Arab culture, is not against pre-marriage relations as long as it does not involve sex. It is even necessary to know the person you are going to marry because it is a decision of life. You have to be cautious when making it.
Many people marry depending on first sight love. But they end up divorcing and their children are the victims.
I advice you to take your time and try to know every thing about your future partner. However, you should also be cautious it will not turn into a sexual relation.
