One of my main goals in life is to become a better musician all around. I am a guitar player, and I am just looking for some constructive criticism to help me refine my songs so that I can re-record them and make them sound better. As long as you are not a jerk about it, I promise you that I won't be offended! I sincerely would appreciate all constructive criticism and comments, because I will really take them to heart and try to work on them. The one thing I learned in a speech class from college is that feedback is key to making your performance even better. Thanks guys and god bless.

First of all, I'd like to start by sayint that I'm not a guitarist, but I have been playing the piano for the past 12 years, so maybe I'll be of some help.

Start off with what I thought was nice. Technically wise, I think it's very good and clean. You kept a very steady rhythm, which is a nice accomplishment. I love the harmonic changes in your piece (you wrote the piece right?). If you wrote it, congrats. I especially like the second one very much, nice variety of harmonies and melodies.

Here's the (hopefully) constructive criticism from me, hope you don't get offended by any of my comments. First of all, one trend that I consistently hear in both the pieces is that it is perhaps a little TOO rhythmical, to the point of staleness. Give it more dynamics, and take some time at the dramatic and climatic points. I know this is not piano, but there should be a variety of dynamics to create different moods, especially when the key changes from minor to major. Another thing is that, since the tempo of the piece is not that fast, it is especially important to project emotions through the music by using variations of speed and dynamics (you don't have to go overboard with this).

This part refers to the structure of the pieces. If you did not write the pieces, then skip this part. I would advise taking some refrains out from the first piece, since after a while it sounds a little monotonous. The constantly minor mood is a little depressing, and the sudden shifts to major for short periods do not really fit it structually-wise. There is not much phrasing and building up to climaxes, which left me feelin somewhat left out, as if i was expecting something that didn't come.

I hope at least some of this helped. I'm sorry if none of this helped, and especially sorry if you were offended by anything i said. Good luck with your guitar playing and your band!

Hey man I really Raguel Mi Amor, that had a good mood to it. I felt that emptiness didn't really go anywhwere. It started off really good and then I kept thinking it would break into new progressions which could have made the piece much better, other then that it was a good sound.

Death from above had an almost iron maidenish feel, it was a good sound and I reckon with a full band of another guitarist or a keyboardist, a bassist and a drummer that could be real cool.

If you could add death from above to Attack on Iraq you could make an awesome prog niece of music, they would really run well with each other.

All in all thats an awesome effort man. congrats
