I have a friction burn on my penis. It has not ever had time to heal so it has been there for a while now. I now have time to let it heal (thank god), but my two questions are:

1. Is the damage to the skin on my penis perminate?

2. What can I do to heal the friction burn?

One, no it is not permanent and two, use a cream like neosporin ointment to help it heal. Then wrap it in a moist towel. That will give it a bulge in your pants so the girls will leave it alone while it heals and it won't rub against your pants! All in the name of the 'no-touch zone" for the scorched touch-down-there. Finally, take the advice of Ferris Bueller's dad (from movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"), "Eat some Chicken Soup!" My advice, leave it alone and eat a banana because it is brain food. And you can use the inside of the banana peel for a lubricant so it doesn't happen again!!! BURNS HURT!!!!!

Could be from masturbation that was too rough and too vigorous. He should use lubrication or switch to smooth, light strokes. It can occur from"free-balling" , in which case the glans or shaft skin can rub on the material of his trousers or the zipper. Maybe it isn't a friction burn but is actually a skin disorder. Make him get checked by the doctor to be sure. You don't want to place yourself at risk here.

The damage is not permanent. Just let it alone for a while and it will heal on its own.

Damage typically is not permanent.
You need to allow it time to heal.
I don't know what caused this friction burn, bnut if it was unprotected sex, you should get an STD screen to make sure it is not herpes.

Damage may be permanent. Use anticeptic cream to stop infection.
Why didn't you have time before to let it heal?
