The current number of teams is alright. If the teams are shortened, then the competition will be over very soon. If the competition is too long, then everyone will be spending endless nights trying to catch the games LIVE on TV. If there are more teams in the competition, this will also mean there will be more injuries as the winning teams have to advance to the next stage and resulting in playing more games. The players will be too tired and are more prone to injuries. Furthermore, by the time the game finished, it will also mean the players will have lesser recovery time before their new local league seasons start. This will affect the players performance and will affect their clubs' performances.

its great the way it is...i know it used to only include 16 teams and the competition was very short...its great now!

It depends about who is answering. If the person you ask likes football (soccer), like me, most of them would say more teams. However, if you ask someone that dosen't like football (soccer), most of them would say less teams.
