I'd do what I wish the person who found mine did, TRY TO FIND THE OWNER. It's the only right thing to do. And it's easy enough.

For sure I will try to find the owner. I had my cellphone lost once, and those guys whom found it, inside a cab I had just left, were kind enough on contacting me and returning it to me. Plus, in the cellphone, has numbers, messages and informations, that a new cellphone won't be able to provide.
Plus, we should feel good about doing things right. Tomorrow may be your cellphone lost.

on many occasions i've found phones, usually I try to see if there is a contact person on there some people have "Home" programmed in there address book, if I'm in a store or something I will usually turn it in to lost and found.

I got a flat tire on the highway once, and I found one while waiting for the tow truck..
It looked like someone had just thrown it out the window after they got sick of it. I couldn't believe I sold it on ebay for like $70 dollars. I couldn't believe someone would pay so much for other people's garbage.

i use to work at a golf course and ppl would always leave there phones.. is what i would normally try and do is call someone on there phone like mom, dad, home, sister.. something like that.. i call them and tell them taht who ever owns this phone left their phone at such and such place.. or i say i can drop it off somewere... is what you are wanting to do is mainly just do what you want someone to do if they found your phone..

That's easy, you contact the carrier and drop the phone off at one of their local stores (or mail it to their main office).
