In or out won't hurt you, but it's likely to absorb water and then leak. Most women take them out before getting into the bath or a shower and put a fresh on in.

Since this is your first time, don't make the mistake many young women do and use the biggest tampon they can find and end up drying out their vaginal canal. Use the smallest one that is adequate for your flow and please read the directions and information and warnings that come with tampons, too many people don't and that information is important for you to know.

NOTE: If you get cramps, exercise is very helpful, such as walking.

It's a good idea to take it out, then have a shower. I have the tampons in reach so that i can insert it while im stand in the shower or have my undies "ready" with a pad in them :P Then I can dry myself without getting blood on the towel. I'ts probably a fussy way to do it but I find it works for me.

You need to shower when having your period, as often as possible - by that i dont mean spend all your time in the shower, i mean at least twice a day - and yes you can shower with a tampon in, as long as it is properly inserted, you can do anything you like, when wearing a tampon. Th only thing to remove when you have a shower and you are having your period, are pads and panty liners.

Either way is safe.
However, remember that you flow will not stop when in the shower. You will still be having your period & when you towel off you may find evidence of your period on your towel.

I think your mother would be the best person to guide you with this query. You could also consult your school physician or a lady teacher you trust.
Cngratulations on becoming a little lady. Did you have a celebration for this one? In India people celebrate the coming of age of their little girls. I Wish you a happy and bright future as a lady, and hope you always respect yourself and behave responsibly.
Cheers

take it out, to let whatever blood is in to flow out and be washed away. My gf likes to have sex in the shower while she's on her period, because she says it helps pull the blood and clots out and send them down the drain, instead of all on a tampon or pad whcih makes her flow seem lighter, and speeds it up overall by about a day.

You can shower with it in or out. But, if you leave it in, you'll probably want to change it after your shower. Personally, I would take it out. Good luck!

Either way - nothing will hurt you. Be careful not to get blood on the towel when you dry off.

you can shower with it in or out, it wont really make a difference, but if you do leave it in, you should definetely change it after your shower.
